Annual meeting of TA1 at the research center in Garching
From 12th to 14th January 2026, colleagues from the DAPHNE4NFDI consortium convened at the Garching Research Center for the annual TA1 meeting.
The event opened with a comprehensive status update from the participating institutes, providing a shared foundation for the discussions that followed. The program continued with presentations on Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELNs), the NeXus file format, the PaNet Ontology, and current approaches to sample classification. These topics were examined in greater depth through focused discussion sessions and an engaging poster presentation round.
Throughout the meeting, participants benefited from a highly collaborative and constructive atmosphere. The exchange of perspectives, practical experiences, and new ideas contributed significantly to advancing the TA1 work areas and strengthening cooperation across the consortium.
During the final wrap‑up session, it became clear that the intensive discussions and active engagement had been extremely valuable for all attendees, underscoring the importance of in‑person collaboration within the DAPHNE4NFDI community.
This meeting highlighted the substantial progress made in recent years. Across all facets of Task Area 1, we have advanced through purposeful and effective steps that are propelling us toward our goals..
